SORRY, I COULD NOT RESIST
— Claudio Pantò

STUDIO VISIT

SORRY, I COULD NOT RESIST documents a meeting with CLAUDIO PANTÒ. In this feature the Italian artist presents some of his recent work located in the premises of Arba-Esa Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels. PANTÒ's work is often formed from objects derived from different contexts, replicating or mimicking original environments. When presented in spatial contexts they merge with other miscellaneous elements. By using certain architectural features his work creates meticulous collages of epochs, languages, techniques and matters.

CLAUDIO PANTÒ is an artist based in Brussels, Belgium. He holds a Bachelor degree in sculpture from the Academy of Fine Arts of Rome (2016) and a Post-graduate degree in Art in public space (AEsP) - from Arba-Esa Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels (2019). His recent exhibitions include OPENohnopicasso (2019) and Tradition Does Graduate #3 (2018), both at Arba-Esa Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels; NO FOOD’S LAND - Mediterranea 17, Young Artists, Milan (2015); Uscita di emergenza, MACRO, Museum of Contemporary Art, Rome (2015).
